For he who finds a wife finds a good thing:
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”
Proverbs 18:22
When a man finds a wife, or rather, when God brings her to him, that man obtains FAVOR from the Lord. We want you to really understand what this means – favor. Favor from the Lord, is a good thing. A great thing. A HIGH thing. It’s a GOD THING. It means that blessing on top of blessing will be pouring in. It means you can expect for God to blow your mind. That’s what comes a long with the blessing of a Wife, is God’s favor. It’s automatic, you don’t even have to ask for it. It is what the husband receives upon taking a wife; a very special gift. As a wife, you are your husband’s favor from the Lord. We’re speaking of godly marriage. It’s an ‘exceedingly and abundantly’ blessing.
When God places a man and woman together as husband and wife, it is for a reason, oftentimes, ministry. Yes, ministry. That’s why, ladies, it’s important for the man to be connected to God. He must know God. He must hear from God, otherwise he cannot lead you. You are a gift to him, your husband, now or in the future. Don’t settle for anything that did not come from God. Do you desire a husband? We urge you to get in relationship with God, and God will do it. You may be asking, “how do I get in relationship with God”? Let’s begin here, say this prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I come to you humbly. I receive the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, into my life. I believe that He died for me and my sins. I ask for forgiveness, for anything I may have done wrong. I repent, and ask you to forgive me. I am sorry. I wish to have you in my life and invite you in so that I may develop a relationship with you. I honor you and accept you as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart and change me. I invite you in. Please do a work in me. I believe. I desire marriage, and I want you to bring the right person to me. I only desire your will for my life. Please help me to discern who is from you. I wish to hear from you. Please cleanse my heart, my mind and my thoughts. I believe in you and trust you to bring the right person to me. I will place my faith and trust in you, in every area of my life. I believe you will and that you can. I believe. In Christ Jesus’ name, the living Savior. Amen.
